Camp Titan celebrates its 40th year of operation in 2009, says Anthony Ragazzo, ASI Student Services director. The ASI Camp Titan staff is planning a celebration, and would love to hear from alumni who have volunteered in the past.

Crickets chirp in the background and the forest scent lingers in the air as singing voices echo through the night. When Cal State Fullerton counselors lead the children in song, it is the first time they are free to relax, behave like kids and escape the harsh realities of their lives back home in Orange County.
Each June, Cal State Fullerton holds a summer camp in Big Bear for underprivileged Orange County children. “We work with social services agencies to identify kids in need,” says Anthony Ragazzo, director, ASI/TSU Office of program Support.
Camp Titan is one of Cal State Fullerton’s official philanthropies. It began in 1969 as a charitable project created by a group of students to improve community relations. The nonprofit organization is funded by Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) fees, Greek Week activities and donation jars in the Titan Shops.
